๐งบ Ingredients
For one standard loaf (approximately 9 × 5 inches / 23 × 13 cm)
๐ Wet Ingredients
330 g ripe bananas (about 3 medium bananas, peeled)
2 large eggs
70 g melted butter (approximately 5 tbsp)
30–45 ml maple syrup (2–3 tbsp)
1 tsp vanilla extract (5ml / approximately 5 g)
๐พ Dry Ingredients
190 g all-purpose flour (approximately 1½ US cups, spooned and leveled)
3 tsp baking powder (approximately 12 g)
½ tsp salt
๐ฉ๐ณ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare Your Oven and Baking Pan
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) using regular bake, not convection.
Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper to make removing the banana bread easier.
2. Mash the Bananas ๐
Peel your ripe bananas and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Mash them with a fork until mostly smooth. A few small banana pieces are perfectly fine and give the finished bread a lovely texture.
3. Mix the Wet Ingredients ๐ฅ
Add the eggs, vegetable oil or melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas.
Mix everything together until well combined.
4. Add the Dry Ingredients ๐พ
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture.
Gently stir until the flour is incorporated. Avoid overmixing, as this can make your banana bread dense.
5. Fill the Baking Pan ๐ง
Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan.
Use a spatula to spread the batter evenly.
6. Bake the Banana Bread ๐ฅ
Place the pan on the middle rack of your preheated oven.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 50-60 minutes.
Check the center with a wooden skewer or toothpick. It should come out clean or with just a few moist crumbs.
If the top browns too quickly, loosely cover it with aluminum foil toward the end of baking.
7. Cool and Enjoy ❤️
Let the banana bread cool in the pan for approximately 10–15 minutes.
Carefully remove it and transfer it to a cooling rack.
Allow it to cool further before slicing.
Enjoy it on its own or with a little butter!
๐ก My Baking Tips
๐ Use ripe bananas: Bananas with plenty of brown spots are naturally sweeter and give the bread more flavor.
๐ฅฃ Don't overmix: Stir just until the flour disappears. This helps keep the bread soft and tender.
๐ฅ Check your oven: Every oven is slightly different, so start checking a few minutes before the recommended baking time.
๐ Storage: Keep your banana bread covered at room temperature for about 2 days, or refrigerate it for longer storage. It also freezes beautifully.
